[Video] A message to John Hartson

Today i was told about the sad news that John Hartson has testicular cancer which has spread to his brain.

John is only 34.

I remember when we signed John Hartson from Luton, A young raw powerful striker who definitely had talent and an eye for goal. it was wierd that we signed John Hartson about the same day that Geogre Graham was sacked. So The manager that wanted him really didnt get a chance to work with him.

For the people that didn’t see him play at Arsenal he was very similar to Bendtner but just a bit more aggressive.

its that aggression that will pull him throw this I’m sure. and from every gooner around the world our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.

Best of luck John. Watched you when you were playing for us. Thanks for the goal against Zaragoza.

In remission myself now so know what you’re facing. Keep your chin up, it’s treatable and curable.

i’m a celtic supporter and a fellow fan of big john, i have had the luck to meet big john a good few times outside celticpark and he was just fantastic to chat to and he would talk to you all day just a great big guy. his goals when he played for the hoops were great his movement too, i look back at his goal against liverpool in the uefa cup quater finals and that cracker of a goal he scored at anfield was out of this world. all the best john and i hope that you survive this. my prayers and thoughts are with you and your family at this time. hail hail
