[Video] Flamini in shocking two footed challenge

Marseille v Milan last night and ex Arsenal ball winner Mathieu Flamini’s two footed long jump into a marseille midfielder in the 66th minute. Shocking challenge that could of broken a leg,and he was only booked?

But is this what we are missing at Arsenal? A bit of BITE in the middle of the park? Cesc has not been the same since Flamini moved on. Maybe we need a hard nut like Flamini next to Cesc and allow him to get forward rather then try and win the ball back.

Sorry but two-footed lunges are not the sign of a “hard nut”: They are the sign of a player whose technique is not good enough.

I have read many comments saying that Flamini is the missing link and that Fabregas has not been the same since he left (as you said). We are talking about one season (08/09), which followed Fabregas being a key player in Spain winning the European Championship. I would postulate that fatigue caused by the long 07/08 season was a bigger factor to Fabregas’ “poor” season, not Flamini’s absence.

clash of two violent idiots, lol.

  4. It has been not the same since Flamini had left, Fabregas is not in the same touch as he was in the last season but that does not attribute to the absence of Flamini it is because Fabregas is not the same player anymore.
