This morning I see a host of sites reporting that we beat Chelsea in the race to sign a child (15 year old) Kyle Ebecilio from Feyenoord.

No doubt that most of you are happy about this and think this is a great signing for the future?

But lets just think about that for a sec…

Since wenger arrived at Arsenal he has signed players like this and said that the future would be great, but in the 13 plus years that Wenger has been at the club how many of the so called “Superkids” have gone on and made it at Arsenal?..Cesc, Clichy?

We were all told that Bentley would be the new Bergkamp and how Ryan Smith was going to be our Ryan Giggs etc…

Plus the likes of Quicny, Svard, Volz etc etc… The sad fact is that for ever Cesc Fabregas we sign as a kid there are 10 Vincent van den Berg at Arsenal, so i apologise for getting excited about the news of us signing more kids for the future.

Sometimes i question why do we waste so much time and money of signing kids when 90% of them never make it at Arsenal. No doubt they are some very talented players but its a myth that Wenger gives youth a chance. Look at the likes of Carlos Vela and Armand Traoré at Arsenal. both players have been sent out on loan and returned to the club last season. Both hardly never got a chance and were overlooked despite loads of injuries in there positions last season. Silvestre played ahead of Traore at Left back and Vela didnt even come close to getting a chance up front, even after the likes of RVP,Nic and Eduardo were all missing.

Its seems to me that if a young player comes to Arsenal they are hailed as the next big thing and the new Henry or Bergkamp when in fact they are just talented kids who will more or likely end up like Arturo Lupoli or Bischoff in some lower league team.

Wenger has a massive rep for developing young talent as being his main skill as a coach?

Fran, Upson, Bentley, Sidwell, Quincy, Volz, Senderos, Skulason, Simek, Papadopulos, Justin Hoyte, Muamba, Stokes, Larsson, Connolly, Garry, Pennant, Juan, Jerome Thomas, Rohan Ricketts, Paulinho, Carlin Itonga & Rui Fonte

All hailed by Wenger in the past as being the future of this club and all sold before even getting a sniff, Now we have the likes of Jay Simpson, Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, Håvard Nordtveit, Nacer Barazite,Francis Coquelin,Henri Lansbury, Pedro Botelho and many more… The sad fact is that most of the players named above will not make it at Arsenal and will end up like Graham Barrett.

My point is, Just because we sign a “SUPER” kid, don’t expect them to go on and make it at Arsenal. I would like Arsenal to take time out of signing players for the future and start thinking about the present

I know it is a silly thing to pick up whilst all this stuff is going on, but i just couldn’t help but notice the change in Cesc’s eyebrows recently…

WHAT ON EARTH has cesc done?, is he playing supermodel or somehing? He just needs blusher and lipstick and he would look a right madam.

I am sorry but i just couldn’t help but laugh when i saw his recent photo!!

Old eyebrows…

New eyebrows…

After Barcelona  made a formal offer for Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas, Arsenal.com confirmed tha the club has rejected a bid from Barca for Cesc Fabregas..

“Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas is under contract with the Club until the summer of 2015.  He is a highly valued member of the team and part of our future plans.

“We have followed recent speculation linking Cesc with a move away from the Club but as there has never been any official approach for him, only two informal exchanges, in which we made it abundantly clear that we have no interest in transferring Cesc, we have refrained from publicly passing comment. However, yesterday evening we received an offer from Barcelona for Cesc and in response, we immediately and resolutely told them once again that we have no intention of selling our captain.

“To be clear, we will not make any kind of counterproposal or enter into any discussion. Barcelona have publicly stated that they will respect our position and we expect that they will keep their word.”

Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger confirmed after the signing of Marouane Chamakh that the club are working hard and are looking at bringing in ONE or TWO more players.

Wenger confirmed that he is now happy with the FOUR Strikers at the club and that we “looking at other area’s”

You can watch this interview (HERE)

So who might the other 2 players be?  Well, Gallas looks almost sure to leave the club in the summer so I have no doubt a CB will be signed. But the other signing? … A GK? DM? WINGER???

And IF Cesc leaves would we then be signing a replacement???

Only time will tell…

Wenger and the board have turned this club into a farm, Since 2005 our manager has sold the clubs best players without investing that money back into the team.

Wenger has admitted in the past that the club has to sell one high profile player each summer to enable him to buy & the club to pay down debt.

In the scheme of things Wenger has been successful, the club’s target is clearly Champions League  football every season to that end Wenger has delivered, no argument with that.

The problem is that most fans want to see trophies, after all isn’t that what supporting a “big” club is all about? isn’t that what the fans pay over £1000 on a season ticket to see?

Every summer Wenger sells our best players without investing that Money back into the team. We could all see at the start of LAST season that we needed 3/4 players. But what did Wenger do? Sold Toure and Adebayor and banked the money. Soon Cesc will join the long list of players Arsenal/Wenger has sold for a massive profit, Adebayor, Toure, Hleb, Henry, Vieira, Overmars, Petit, Anelka.

I really cant blame Cesc for wanting to leave Arsenal. When Wenger had a chance of signing Alonso he missed out because he didnt want to spend that extra few £m. We have needed a goalkeeper for 2 seasons but yet Wenger sticks with a pair of clowns. We sell our best players and replace them with the licks of Silvestre.

Just think what we would have won if we didn’t sell those players?

And the future? Who is next to leave? Van persie? Arshavin? Vermaelen? Maybe all 3…£100m profit and maybe we will still finish 4th!

Just who the hell is running the Public Relations campaign at Arsenal??

On the day Ivan Gazidis told the Arsenal fans we have “sufficient funds to invest” in new players this summer {Link}

Our manager (Wenger)  then tells us “I wont be spending big” & I plans to keep faith with squad {link}

Wenger also said that Arsenal finishing 3rd was better than expected??? You cant make it up can you?

So what did you expected at the start of the season Arsene?..And if it was worst then 3rd why didnt you do something about it?

I take it that Gazidis and Wenger and not Singing from the same hymn sheet then?

So Wenger has loads of money to spend but he wont??? So whats new?……….Its going to be a long summer.

NO WINS IN FOUR GAMES FOR ARSENAL

But of course Wenger tells us that finishing 3rd is more important then winning the FA cup

1 of the worst games I’ve seen in my life….YAWNNN!!!

2 teams who didn’t show any heart to win the game. Both happy with the draw.

in 90mins Arsenal had ONE shot of note that tested the keeper. Given went off injured and the 4th choice young keeper didn’t even have a effort to deal with.

I feel sorry for Robin Van Persie, No support in a 4-5-1! And even when Nic came on he was asked to play on the right wing? MADNESS!!

I’m sure the wenger team talk must go something like this……

OK LADS, This is what I want you to do……

KEEP THE BALL! PASS PASS PASS
Lets go back, Keep the ball! PASS
NO!! Lets go to the side
Ok, we are now on our 20th Pass, Lets keep it going.
Chance to shoot!! NOOOOOOOO! PASS
Keep the ball and pass
to the side!!
other side!!Back!!
Ok,I’m bored of this passing, We might as well just cross the ball..Pass to Sagna
Cross to….Ermmmm! Nobody!….Pat Rice what do you think? (PR – I agree with you boss)

THE WENGER WAY.

I can see why there were so many empty seats today…60:500 (FCK OFF)

Ohh well. 1 pts is better then nothing..and Fabianski got a clean sheet.
