After his mistakes vs Germany , Keeper Mark Schwarzer (37)  ended his poor World Cup with another mistake and poor show last night vs Serbia.

I had hope that after this poor show at the would cup that this would end in interest in this clown.

But no, reports in todays Mirror says that Arsenal have made an improved offer of £3.5m for Mark Schwarzer, The report claims that Schwarzer has been made aware of Arsenal’s interest and he has told manager Roy Hodgson he wants to leave Craven Cottage this summer. It’s believed that Hodgson is now resigned to losing his No.1 keeper and all that’s left is for the two clubs to agree a fee.

BAD NEWS!.. This is not the safe pair of hands that we need at Arsenal. See Below for last nights mistake…1:30

Tonight I watched the Germans v Australia World cup game and did my own little scouting report on a player we are linked with Mark Schwarzer.

All I can say is lets hope and pray that we dont sign this clown.

God knows why we are even looking at a 37 year old keeper who has never played at the top club or at the top level or in the champions league is beyond me?

But I wanted to be proved wrong tonight and wanted to see him have a good game.

It couldnt be any worst, to say that Rob Green and the Algerian keeper looked better would be harsh. Schwarzer got a “hand” to the first goal and for the 2nd it was pure Comedy. He came flapping for a cross that he was never going to get and got beat by a header into an open goal. Not the type of thing we would want to see after the sights of Almunia and Fabianski last season.

After that he was all over the place, Poor kicking, poor punching and just looked a disaster waiting to happen….In all Schwarzer let in only FOUR goals.

I hope Arsene watch tonights game and this made his mind up. PLEASE Arsene dont do this to us. DONT SIGN THIS CLOWN!

On the other hand the young german Mesut Ozil looks a fine player and a perfect replacement for Cesc, “IF” he was to leave

The guy was amazing, Pace and vison and had a hand in everything. Sweet left peg and would be a fantastic signing. No doubt after tonight all the big clubs will be looking at him.

Video of the 2nd goal

Arsenal Chairman Peter Hill-Wood confirmed that the club are looking at the Fulham keeper Mark Schwarzer (37)

Hil-Wood told “The Star”
We have made an enquiry for him and they are not prepared to sell him so we have gone away.

We can only hope they will change their minds, but at the moment it doesn’t look like it.

Apparently our bid of around £3m was turned down by Fulham.

But is a 37 year old keeper the answer to our goalkeeping problems? And at £4m are we going to get much in return? How many more years has Schwarzer got at the top?.. Has he even played at the top before?

Personally I would rather us signed Rob Green (30)

I know that Wenger regards Wojciech Szczesny(20) as a future number 1, and that the signing of an experienced keeper to cover until he is ready could be the thinking in signing Schwarzer. But £4m for a 37 year old??

Ben Foster(27) has just signed for Birmingham City for the same price and is TEN YEARS YOUNGER!….And is Schwarzer the best we can do? Im sure there are better keeper then him out there?..(Loris/Akineev/Gordon)

There is no doubt that Wenger is looking at signing a keeper this summer… But who would you like to see?

I have been saying this for a few years now ALMUNIA is not good enough to be our number one keeper.

The clown makes to many mistakes and for me he is a walking nightmare.

If I asked you 2 pick the top FIVE keepers in the league? The Arsenal keeper would not be in them. I’m talking about Cech,Reina,Friedel, Van Der Sah,Given.

They are top keepers who can win games on there own.

Look at the Man Utd game, Ben foster made a world class save at 1-0 and stopped us going 2-0 up. That was the turning point of the game. What did out keeper do? Gifted them a pen and didn’t make a single save all game. AND also the goal vs portsmouth he was to blame.

Dont get me wrong Almunia is a “decent” but Arsenal have a long history of having world class goal keepers. Jens, Seaman, Lukic, Jennings you cant call Almunia world class. He makes to many mistakes at vital times.

Champions league semi final last season and the free kick from Ronaldo? Lobbed by Bentley from 40 yards, to 2 goals away at Stoke. The lost vs Fulham. All down to Almunia….And many more

Almunia is living off ONE  pen save from robbie keane vs Spurs thats this it…

When was the last time he had a great match that won us the points? I remember us playing West Ham a few seasons ago and Rob Green saved everything and kept a clean sheet and they won the game 1-0. That’s the type of keeper we need. I even rate Chris Kickland, Tim Howard and Jaaskelainen high then Almunia.

Sorry Almunia you have had your chance at being our number one and you have let us down 2 many times.

We should give Fabianski a run in the side or sign a keeper like Rob Green. We are never going to win anything with Almunia as our number one keeper
